While attending Pasadena City College, obtained musical instruction that included music theory and piano repertoire for two years, during this time, received certification in Radio Production. In addition to course work, held an internship position with Mad Hatter Studios, a Silverlake area music recording studio. Received professional training in the art of recording under music business professionals including: Gary Mraz, an award winning member of Studio Voodoo, the team that first recorded music to DVD-Audio, taught the intricacies of MIDI and music programming. Mr. Mraz also provided further instruction in the art of mixing; and Joey Gallo, songwriter for '80's R&B artists like Shalamar, on the legalities of the music business, contract interpretation, copyright law and other music industry survival skills. Most recent, begun to bring talents to the industry, promoting local bands via Internet trade magazines, local venues and good old fashioned word-of-mouth. CO-written songs and performed with a local band, learning the ins-&outs of promoting in the entertainment industry. Has since set aside performing with a band, and currently producing a solo album to be released in mid 2006. As well as starting a production company aimed at providing remix services and production duties, sound design, editing and composing to picture. |
